Railways shocker: Drunk TTE urinates on woman on Amritsar-Kolkata train

New Delhi: This is one incident that will put Indian Railways to shame. In a highly embarrassing incident for the Railways, a drunk Travel Ticket Examiner (TTE) urinated on a woman, aboard the Akal Takht Express.

An official of Government Railway Police (GRP) told the newsmen that the incident happened on Sunday midnight while the woman was travelling with her husband Rajesh Kumar.

The TTE, a Railway employee was in a highly drunken state and he reportedly peed on the woman in A1 coach of Akal Takht Express, which was going from Amritsar to Kolkata.

The incident left the fellow passengers shell-shocked, who intervened & confronted the TTE. Passengers from adjoining compartments also came to the woman’s rescue. Chaos broke out and the passengers held the TTE for disgusting act.

The TTE is said to be a native of Bihar and was identified as Munna Kumar. He was reportedly in inebriated condition when he began his duty.

Later, the drunk TTE was handed over to Railway Police, when the train reached Charbagh railway station in Lucknow.

Investigation into the incident has begun and the TTE has been sent in judicial custody for now.

The disgusting case of a TTE urinating on a woman passengers, comes months after pee-gate incident on an Air India flight. While the Air India plane was coming from US to New Delhi, an intoxicated passenger had peed on an elderly woman while she was sitting at a corner.

The matter was hushed under the carpet and came to light only when the aggrieved woman dashed off a letter to Tata Group Chairman N Chandrasekaran.
