New Delhi: Atrocities against women and crimes against the Dalit community continue unabated in Rajasthan but Ashok Gehlot government remains nonchalant & unmoved by their sufferings & despair. This became clearly apparent when Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot was questioned about brutal killing of a Dalit woman and he looked clueless about the incident.

When the reporter asked him about his reaction and what the state government has done to nab the attackers, the Chief Minister was seen looking for answers. He could be seen on the camera, enquiring about the incident from fellow colleagues at the press conference. The Congress leader, sitting next to CM, could be seen briefing the latter on brutal killing of woman as well as Jalore incident, where a young Dalit boy lost his life after being beaten by an upper caste teacher. The Dalit boy was beaten to death for touching teacher’s drinking water pot in a private school in Jalore district.

Teacher set on fire by relatives, dies at Jaipur hospital

A 35-year old teacher identified as Anita was set on fire by her relatives over some financial dispute and later she succumbed to her injuries at the SMS hospital in Jaipur.

Jaipur rural’s Suprintendent of Police (SP) Manish Agrawal informed media that the woman died Tuesday night.

The private school teacher was set ablaze in her village in Raisar Police Station area on August 10 when she asked the relatives to repay her money. The accused reportedly poured inflammable material on the woman and set her on fire in village.

Videos of the her dying declaration went viral on social media recently and a lot many netizens questioned the role of the police and deteriorating law and order situation in the state.

As per reports, the incident happened at Raisar village, about 80 km from Jaipur. Police has lodged cases against him, his relatives and also few women on basis of victim’s ‘dying declaration’. However, no arrest has been made so far.
