New Delhi: India’s comedy star and actor Raju Srivastava passed away in Delhi on Wednesday at the age of 58. Srivastava died after a struggle of 41 days post being admitted to the AIIMS in the national capital.

Raju was rushed to AIIMS on August 10 after experiencing a cardiac arrest while working out in a gym close to his residence in Delhi.

The news of the comedy king’s untimely demise has left the entire nation in tears. From politicians to celebrities and common people are paying tribute to the late comedian.

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath offered his condolences as he told news agency ANI, “Raju Srivastava is no more with us. I, on behalf of the people of UP, pray that his soul rests in peace. I extend my condolences to his family”.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah wrote on Twitter, “Renowned comedian Raju Srivastava ji had a distinctive style, he impressed everyone with his amazing talent. His death is a great loss to the art world. I extend my condolences to his family and fans. May God give them the strength to bear this grief. Om Shanti”.
