Ramdev questions efficacy of Coronavirus vaccine, says ‘govt keeping data secret’

New Delhi: Yoga guru Ramdev, a usually ardent supporter of Modi government’s policies was recently found on the other side of the line. When Made-In-India Covid-19 vaccines are being distributed across the world, the Yoga guru has pointed fingers at its efficacy.

A video of Baba Ramdev is going viral on the internet in which he can be seen raising questions about the Corona vaccine. In the video, he claims that many doctors have died after taking the vaccine in Uttarakhand.

He can be further heard saying that the government has directed officials to not report the data as it will instill fear in people about vaccination. He later claims that still, many doctors have been found Covid positive despite taking full dose of vaccination.

He later says that Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij contracted Coronavirus even after getting vaccine jab and there is no guarantee that anti-bodies will develop after the 2nd dose of the vaccination.

Ramdev bats for Coronil, a Patanjali product

However, Yoga guru held no restraint in praising Coronil, a medicine prepared by Patanjali to fight the deadly disease. Patanjali Ayurved Limited launched Coronil on 22nd Feburary 2021, a medicine which the Institute claimed that it was first evidence-based medicine for Covid-19.

Ramdev also urged his followers to use Coronil for Covid-19 treatment as well as post-Covid phase treatment. The launch of Coronil was mired in controversy as the Medical Council of India called the launch of the Coronil unethical without knowing its composition. However, it later got required approval by the Ayush Ministry.
