
New Delhi: Striking new controversy, BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj, on Monday (October 26) said that large burial grounds for Muslims and smaller cremation spaces for Hindus was a ‘discrimination’.
He made his statement while speaking during a ‘nukkad meet’ in Unnao to support the BJP candidate for the forthcoming bypolls, Sakshi Maharaj said that according to the ratio of population the burial grounds and cremation spaces should be allocated.
“Even if a village has one Muslim, the burial ground is very large. And you (Hindu community) cremate in a farm, or by the riverside. Is this not injustice?” he questioned.
