New Delhi: A group of tourists in Kaziranga National Park suffered a hair-raising moment when a rhino came charging on them while they were taking a tour of the sanctuary on an open jeep.
The tourists were on a jeep safari when a rhinocerous came running after them. In a video captured by one of the tourists, some could be heard screaming and telling the driver – bhaga, bhaga (speed up).
The safari was travelling through a narrow track when suddenly a rhino came from the bushes & started running after them. The safari driver manages to rescue the tourists just in time, with his clever skills.
The rhino reportedly chased the convoy of tourists for about 3 kms before disappearing into the jungle.
The video footage of the incident, recorded by one of the tourists landed on social media and is going viral. It is being widely shared & commented upon also.
However, this is not a one-off incident. In recent past, several instances of rhino chasing safari vehicle have surfaced.
A recent incident happened in Manas National Park, which captured the frightened & shocked tourists, as a rhinocerous came in close contact with their vehicle but they eventually got rescued.

While they were taking detour via jeep safari, a rhino emerged from the bush and started chasing their vehicle. The driver however acted quickly, sped up and left the rhino behind.
Kaziranga National Park is home to more than 2,000 rhinos and the numbers are constantly rising, as per the latest census.
