
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a rousing welcome in Himachal Pradesh’s Shimla as huge gathering of supporters lined up the streets of city’s Mall road to welcome his cavalcade.
PM Modi’s visit to Shimla marked the completion of 8 years of NDA govt at Centre. Accompanied by Chief Minister Jairam Thakur and Minister Anurag Thakur, PM Modi addresses a rally and interacted with the beneficiaries of Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme.
At the Garib Kalyan Sammelan, one of the largest nationwide interactions, he also spoke to beneficiaries about the impact of Centre’s welfare programmes in the field of housing, food, health & livelihood.

Addressing the rally in Shimla, he also recalled the milestone that the party achieved with constant endeavour & persistence. He said that the days of elite culture is gone and today, all those in governance are sevaks.
“In the last 8 years…not even once did I vision myself as the PM. Only when I sign documents, I do my service as PM but as soon as the file is gone, I’m no longer a PM… I’m just a Pradhan Sevak of 130 crore people who are everything in my life.”

The girl drew the sketch of Modi’s mother and was overjoyed to hand it over to him.
PM Modi accepted the hand-made sketch and also blessed the girl. The emotional moment is drawing praise for the girl on social media.
