Ruckus in Bihar Assembly over Ram Navami violence, BJP MLA thrown out of house (VIDEO)

BJP-led opposition today launched a scathing attack on Nitish Kumar government in the Assembly & cornered it over its failure to put a stop to violence in 2 riot-hit districts of the state.

New Delhi: The spate of violence in Sasaram & Nalanda districts of Bihar reverberated in the Assembly on Wednesday, leading to dramatic scenes. BJP MLA Jibesh Kumar was thrown out of the Bihar Assembly after being accused of creating ruckus in the Assembly over Ram Navami violence.

Video of former BJP minister being escorted out of the Assembly by marshals surfaced. He was marshaled out of the House on the orders of Assembly Speaker, reportedly after heated discussion.

Slamming CM Nitish Kumar, the legislator told reporters this was how the voice of Opposition was being crushed.

“This is the behaviour towards the opposition. I asked the chief minister to reply in House over the attacks and killings of Hindus on Ram Navami in the state”, said Jivesh Mishra while being marshaled out of Assembly.

The Bihar Assembly today witnessed a political showdown between Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) & Mahagathbandhan over incidents of Ram Navami violence in the state.

Notably, several incidents of communal violence took place in Nalanda & Sasaram districts during Ram Navami processions and 1 person also lost his life while 10 are injured.

BJP, JD(U) trade barbs

Amid the high drama in Assembly, the BJP & JD (U) engaged in bitter war of words.

Earlier today, CM Nitish Kumar told media that violence erupted in two cities over incitement by certain elements and it was not a failure of law & administration.

On the other hand, BJP was unsparing in its attack on Mahagathbandhan & accused it of ‘appeasement politics’ for minority vote bank.
