‘Sab ko jawani achhi lagti hai’: EAM Jaishankar’s witty reply evokes laughter (VIDEO)

Jaishankar’s interaction with students came as part of BJP’s mega public outreach program, through which the party wants to propagate good works of Modi government in past 9 years.

New Delhi: External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar, known for his measured and direct response on issues ranging from politics to India’s foreign relations, had a witty reply to a question on life.

The minister, having worked as topmost bureaucrat and then serving as top minister in Modi cabinet, was asked which role he liked the most – Bureaucrat or Minister, to which, the minister replied, ‘Sab ko jawani achhi lagti hai’. EAM’s witty quip to student’s question left everyone in the audience sharing a hearty laugh.

This light-hearted moment was witnessed during EAM Jaishankar’s interaction at the Student Dialogue event with students of NIT Delhi.

Jaishankar’s interaction with students came as part of BJP’s mega public outreach program, through which the party wants to propagate good works of Modi government in past 9 years.

EAM Jaishankar also underscored the importance of technology in modern times and said that no country can progress without embracing technology and research and development (R&D).

It may be noted that from ministers to top party functionaries, all have been entrusted with the responsibility of engaging public and informing them about positive aspects of governance, while party prepares for Lok Sabha elections, slated for next year.

During interaction with students, Jaishankar further said several changes took in last nine years, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and this was being taken note of, at international level also.

Citing Modi’s recent visit to United States, he said that PM Modi is seen as a credible & global leader and under his leadership, India has provided the world with a new vision.

“In his foreign visits, Modi represents the strength and talent of 149 crore Indians. The world is now looking towards India and its youth,” Jaishankar said.
