Serum Institute CEO Adar Poonawalla appeals to Elon Musk to invest in India for manufacturing Tesla cars

Adar Poonawalla, CEO of Serum Institute, requested Tesla CEO Elon Musk to invest in India for large-scale manufacturing of Tesla Cars on Twitter.

New Delhi: Adar Poonawalla, CEO of Serum Institute, on Sunday requested Tesla CEO Elon Musk to invest in India for large-scale manufacturing of Tesla Cars on Twitter.

He also said this would be the best investment of Musk that he will ever make. His tweet received over 20 thousand likes and over 2500 retweets.

”Hey @elonmusk just in case you don’t end up buying @Twitter, do look at investing some of that capital in INDIA for high-quality large-scale manufacturing of @Tesla cars. I assure you this will be the best investment you’ll ever make,” tweeted Poonawalla.

However, Musk, who is famous for being the world’s richest individual, is yet to respond to Poonawalla’s tweet. Other than Tesla, he owns SpaceX and the boring company.

It is important to note that Musk recently bought Twitter for $44 billion. After buying Twitter, Musk said, ”I look forward to working with the company  and the community of users to unlock it.”

What is Serum Institute?

Notably, Poonawalla’s company is famous for making the COVID-19 vaccine, Covishield vaccine. According to the company,

Serum Institute of India was founded in 1966 by Dr. Cyrus Poonawalla with the aim of manufacturing life-saving immuno-biologicals, which were in shortage in the country and imported at high prices.
