New Delhi: Shankar Mishra, the infamous flyer of Air India, who reportedly urinated on a woman co-passenger on New York-New Delhi flight, has been sacked by his US-based company, Wells Fargo.
The peeing incident on Air India has brought an international shame for the country even as the cops have launched hunt for him. The man was reportedly let go after the highly appalling incident allegedly after apologizing to the aggrieved woman flyer, in her seventies.
Releasing a statement, the US financial services company said the charges against against Shankar Mishra, vice president of Wells Fargo India, were ‘deeply disturbing’.
“Wells Fargo holds employees to the highest standards of professional and personal behaviour and we find these allegations deeply disturbing. This individual has been terminated from Wells Fargo,” the company further said.
Shankar Mishra was serving as Vice-President of India business unit of the company Wells Fargo, headquartered in California.
Meanwhile, the accused is said to be a resident of Mumbai and is currently untraceable. Police have formed teams to nab him.
The flyer in an highly intoxicated state, while flying on an Air India’s New York-New Delhi flight on November 26, unzipped his pants & urinated on a woman co-passenger and stay put there exposed for sometime, unless he was asked by others to move from there.
The matter was brought to notice of crew members but the latter chose to gloss over the matter, leading the elderly woman to dash off a letter to Tata Group chairperson N Chandrasekaran.
