Shehbaz Sharif thanks PM Modi for showing concern over massive floods in Pakistan 

PM Modi expressed his condolences to the families of the victims of the flood in Pakistan on Tuesday evening.

New Delhi: Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for showing concern over human and material losses in the country due to massive floods. Sharif took to Twitter to express gratitude for PM Modi’s message. On Twitter, Sharif also thanked leaders of different countries such as Britain’s PM Boris Johnson, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau and Switzerland Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis.

”I thank PM Narendra Modi for condolences over the human & material losses caused by floods. With their characteristic resilience the people of ?? shall, InshaAllah, overcome the adverse effects of this natural calamity & rebuild their lives and communities,” wrote PM Sharif.

PM Modi expressed his condolences to the families of the victims of the flood in Pakistan on Tuesday evening. He also wished for early restoration of normalcy.

”Saddened to see the devastation caused by the floods in Pakistan. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, the injured and all those affected by this natural calamity and hope for an early restoration of normalcy,” tweeted PM Modi.

Owing to the flood, the death toll has crossed the mark of 1,000 and over 1,500 are reported to receive injuries. It is reported that at least 110 districts of Pakistan have been hit by the flood. The country received 375.4 mm of rainfall higher than the national average of 130.8mm in the last 24 hours as of August 25.
