New Delhi: In an unfortunate incident an MBBS student dies of a heart attack in delhi metro. The 25-year-old student was on his way to appear for his MBBS exam when the tragedy happened. He suffered a heart attack while he was on the train. The incident took place near the Jawahar Lal Nehru metro station. The student was going to ISBT and he boarded the train from Ballabhgarh metro station. He passed out near the Jawahar lal Nehru metro station when he was about to board the train. The student was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors.

The student hailed from Wardha in Maharashtra and would appear in an exam in Panchkula. He started from Palwal to reach his destination but was hit by a tragedy mid-way. He was survived by two sisters and an elder brother. He did not suffer from any health issues before.

Many cases reported in the past

This is not the first incident of a youth losing life due to heart attack. There have been many incidents in the past where many young people suddenly dying from heart attacks. A class 9 student of a school in lucknow also lost his life due to heart attack, he suddenly felt unconscious and died. The kid was declared dead by the doctors in the hospital.

In Gujarat 10 people died while performing garba within 24 hours. All the deceased were teenagers and middle aged people with no signs of medical history in the past. The youngest one was a 13 year old boy from Baroda.

What causes Heart Attack in young people? 

Heart Attack was once considered to be the disease of the elderly, ironically it is affecting the lives of youngsters now. According to a recent survey, the rate of heart attacks has jumped by 2% every year. The common causes among patients less than 35 years is due to the following factors-

  • Excessive drinking and smoking
  • Overweight
  • Stress
  • Hypertension
  • Diabetes

How to prevent Heart Attack? 

  • Follow a balanced diet
  • Less intake of salt
  • Avoid packaged food
  • Keep an eye on blood sugar level
  • Quit smoking
  • Start morning walk
