
New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a body of a former Navy officer was recovered from a pond in the Baruipur area of South 24 Parganas, near Kolkata.
According to the Police, the victim was identified as Ujjwal Chakraborty, a 55-year-old former Indian Navy non-commissioned officer who retired in 2000.
Pushpa, Superintendent of Police, Baruipur said the dismembered body of a man was found wrapped in plastic in a pond in Baruipur.
It was further informed that a missing complaint was registered on November 15 by his family members.

She said, in an investigation, it has been found that the victim was an alcoholic and used to assault his son. He also had a fight with his family on November 14, and his son attacked him in retaliation. Following this, he died.
After the murder, the son disposed of the body parts in the pond, and some were found near his house, said Police.
Also, the victim’s wife helped his son.
Further investigation is underway.
