Smriti Mandana Birthday: Netizens wish Happy Birthday Queen of Hearts as she turns a year older

The Indian batter scored 224 of 150 balls in the West Zone Under-19 tournament at the Alembic Cricket ground in Vadodara.

New Delhi: Indian Cricketer Smriti Mandana is celebrating her birthday today. The 28 year old Indian batter hails from Maharashtra’s Mumbai from a Marwari Hindu family. Her mother is a housewife and her father works as a Chemical distributer. Her family moved to Madhavnagar’s Sangli when she was 2 years old. Smriti completed her schooling from Chintaman School of Commerce in Sangli. The Indian Cricketer’s father and brother played cricket at the district level for Sangli and this inspired her to play cricket.

Smriti was selected for Maharashtra’s U-15 team when she was 9 years old and was selected for Maharashtra’s Under-19 team when she was 11 years old. She got the first break of her career in October 2013 when she became the first Indian cricketer to score double hundred in a one day game. The Indian batter scored 224 of 150 balls in the West Zone Under-19 tournament at the Alembic Cricket ground in Vadodara.

The rising star of the Indian Women’s Cricket has played for India in 7 tests, 85 ODIs and 136 T20s scoring around 7500 runs. Smriti made her first ODI century in 2016 against Australia.

Smriti was named as the Captain of India’s Women T20 for the 3 matches against England. She is also the youngest T20 captain of India when she led the women’s team against England in the first T20 in Guwahati.
