“Some pain takes away the voice…”: Prof Baljinder Kaur, AAP’s 2 time MLA from Punjab

SM post which was deleted later was widely linked to her displeasure with party and became a matter of discussion in the political corridors

New Delhi: Social media posts from Professor Baljinder Kaur, Aam Aadmi Party’s 2 time MLA from Punjab is making headlines.

Kaur recently took to her social media handle and wrote, “Silence is never unnecessary, some pain takes away the voice”.

Prof Baljinder Kaur has been elected MLA from Talwandi Sabo for the second time in the recently concluded Punjab Assembly Polls 2022. Despite her impressive performance in a newbie party in the border state, she was not made a minister in CM Bhagwant Mann’s newly formed cabinet.

Though, she later clarified that this post has nothing to do with politics.

Had posted a similar post earlier

Previously, when AAP government had announced its first 10 ministers in Punjab, Kaur had put a post with the caption, “Where we have to prove our truth in front of others, it is better to remain bad there”.

This SM post was also linked to her displeasure from the Party. When this post became a matter of discussion in the political corridors, she deleted it.

However, after some days of deleting her tweet, Kaur had openly expressed displeasure over not linking it to the ministerial position.

“Stayed with the party in every difficulty”

In the swearing-in ceremony of the ministers, Baljinder Kaur did not mention her resentment with the party but did make a gesture.

She had said, “The party has gone through many ups and downs in the state. When the big stalwarts had left the party, since then till today everything has been obeyed by the party. I have no problem. The decision of the High Command is acceptable”.

“No one has the right to the post of the minister”

AAP Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal spoke to the newly-elected MLAs of Punjab through video conferencing, wherein he had said that some MLAs are saying that they had the right on the ministerial post.

Kejriwal said that only the public has the right here. So no one should have any kind of misunderstanding.
