Some political forces in Delhi are trying to teach me democracy every day, says PM Modi

Under this scheme, people of J&K will be able to avail free medical facilities up to Rs 5 lakh, Union Minister Amit Shah said

New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi on Friday launches Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) SEHAT scheme for the residents of Jammu & Kashmir, via video conferencing. This will benefit 21 lakh eligible people on the basis of Socio-Economic and Caste Census (SECC) 2011, who will be able to avail free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh medical expense.

Some political forces keep lecturing on democracy but see their duplicity & shallowness. The party that rules in Puducherry hasn’t conducted local body elections despite SC’s order, whereas J&K held Panchayat level polls within one year after becoming an UT. – PM

PM Modi also interacted with Ramesh Lal, a cancer patient from Jammu, who is a beneficiary of Centre’s Ayushman Bharat Yojana.

Nearly 229 govt hospitals & 35 private hospitals have been listed under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. Under this scheme, people of J&K will be able to avail free medical facilities up to Rs 5 lakh, Union Minister Amit Shah said

Talking about DDC elections PM Modi said, The people of J&K have voted for strengthening democracy in Jammu and Kashmir. People of all walks of life came out and voted for development in DDC elections
