New Delhi: Bollywood actor Sonu Sood’s sister Malvika Sood on Monday (January 10) joined Congress ahead of Punjab Assembly Elections 2022.

In November 2021, the actor had announced that his sister Malvika Sood will be entering politics.

This comes only after  Sonu Sood on Friday (January 7) “voluntarily” stepped down as the “State Icon” of Punjab.

Earlier in the day, both Sonu and Malvika had met Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu at their residence.

Sonu Sood, also well known as ‘Messiah’ for all his effort to help people during the lockdown helped migrant workers across the country to reach their home safely.

Not only this, he also helped people to get admitted into hospitals, helped in providing oxygen cylinders, donated food, shelter and PPE kits to those who needed them.
