New Delhi: After years of trials & tribulations, the illegal twin towers of Supertech were razed to rubble on Sunday, bringing curtains down on the decade long realty developer & Authority nexus.
The web of illegal sanctions and violation in building norms by Supertech made for a glaring example of collusion between big reality firm & Noida Authority officials. In August 2021, the Supreme court came down heavily on the reality firm, which apparently bribed or colluded various government officials in the Noida Authority and constructed the skyscraper, bypassing building by-laws.
The Uttar Pradesh government has released list of 26 officials who were reportedly hand in gloves with the reality developer in construction of illegal building.

SIT probe into Supertech-Authority ‘collusion’
Following Supreme Court’s searing judgement last year, the UP govt formed a special investigation team (SIT) to probe the “collusion” between the Supertech group and the Noida authority.
Out of these 26 officials, at least 20 have retired while two are dead and four have been suspended.
On basis of SIT report, a case was also registered in which 4 directors of Supertech were also booked.
