Swiggy, Zomato down, many users complain with memes on social media

Zomato and Swiggy, two top food delivery apps in India, stopped working due to technical glitches.

New Delhi: Zomato and Swiggy, two top food delivery apps in India, stopped working due to technical glitches on Wednesday. This caused problems for many people across India.

It is reported to be a technical snag, caused by an Amazon Web Services snag. Many users questioned how both platforms stopped working at the same time. The reason behind this is said to be that both platforms are dependent on the service offered by Amazon.

The glitch created so many problems for many users as it occurred during the launch time.

The customer care service of both companies also promptly responded on social media.

A user namely FriesBeforeGuys wrote, ”How come Swiggy and Zomato stopped working at the same time.”

To the question, Swiggy Cares replied, ”Hi there. We are currently unable to process your request as we are experiencing technical constraints. Not to worry, our best minds are on it and we will be up and running soon.”

Replying to a Zomato user who wrote, ”Hi Sahil, we are facing a temporary glitch. Please be assured our team is working on this and we will be up and running soon.”

Besides the complaints, many users also flood  Twitter with memes.

Sharing a screenshot of his problem, a user said, ”Aur ye 10 minutes mei delivery dene wale they.”

Notably, Zomato is planning to deliver the food within 10 minutes. The new service will be called ‘Zomato instant’. The development was announced by Zomato Founder Deepinder Goyal on March 21.
