New Delhi: Lalu Prasad Yadav – Rabri Devi’s younger son and leader of opposition in Bihar, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on Monday (December 13) opened up about his marriage with Rachel now known as Rajshri.
When asked abut his marriage and when did he revealed about his lady love to the family, Tejashwi said that their family member had a hint about his love story but he had later told them that he wanted to marry Rachel.
The marriage was successful only after the family had agreed happily and there was no issue with his decision.
Taking about the low-key marriage, he said that the family and the couple themselves wanted to keep the event small and initame so that the two families could mingle and can get some time and personal space.
He also said that had the PM Modi, Chief Ministers and other big leaders attended our wedding, the families would have been engaged in managing things for them and would have not got space for themselves.
He also said that keeping covid-19 in mind we thought to keep the event limited.
According to reports, the wedding which took place on December 9 was attended by over 50 close friends and family. Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav and his wife Dimple Yadav was among the guests.
When will Bahu Bhoj/ Reception happen
Talking about “Bahu Bhoj” (Reception after bringing bride home) he said that the reception will take place soon. In two or three days the date and venue will be finalized.
He said that crowd management is a difficult task so the it will be decided accordingly.
He also gave example of how his brother Tej Pratap’s wedding had later tuned into ruckus when supporters had thronged the food court.
Taking about his wife name from Rachel to Rajyashree
Tejashwi Prasad Yadav said that his wife had chosen the name herself and without any pressure. He said that the name Rajyashree would be easier for people of Bihar to pronounce.
He said that the name Rajyashree was suggested by his father Lalu Prasad Yadav.
