New Delhi: Tiger T-57 of the famed Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve passed away on Tuesday, bringing sadness of faces of big cat lovers.
The 12-year-old ferocious tiger was found dead today, said that national tiger reserve in an Instagram post. It also stated that prima facie, the reason appears to be a large tumour.
The news comes as a setback to big cat lovers as it was the same ferocious & truly wild tiger that hogged limelight and hit the national headlines because of its daring fights & brawls inside the jungle.

Not much long ago, a video of this tiger went viral when it picked up a violent brawl with a fellow tiger inside the Ranthambhore National Park.
In the viral video posted by IFS Officer Parveen Kaswan, T 57 tiger was seen engaged in furious fight with T58 tiger. They were seen pouncing & swooping down each other while making loud roars inside the jungle.

Interestingly, the reason behind the intense brawl was a tigress T39 named ‘Noor’. In the minute video shared by IFS officer, the tigress Noor could also be seen in the first part of the video while the fight broke out between the two.
According to Ranthambore Guides, T57 tiger was named Singhsth while T58’s name was Rocky. They were both sons of tigress T39 named Sharmili from Jaisinghpura area of the national park.
