New Delhi: Haryana TikTok star Sonali Phogat, who hogged the limelight during assembly elections, got herself embroiled in a major controversy today as she slapped and thrashed an official of the grain market when she visited there.
The whole incident was captured on camera and has gone viral on the social media. In the video, the TikTok star can been seen slapping and thrashing the grain market secretary with her slippers while the latter tries to save himself.
Onlookers stood in silence while she kept abusing the secretary but what made matter worse that even the police also remained mute spectator. In the video, a policeman can be seen watching the incident while she keeps on hitting the market secretary with slippers.
Sonali Phogat, also a BJP contestant in 2019 assembly elections, had gone to grain market in Balasmand to take stock of the prevailing situation in wake of Covid-19.
‘Thrashed for making lewd remarks’
Sonali Phogat claimed that the secretary used obscene and derogatory language against her, which left her infuriated.

The secretary denied making any such claims but by that time, the TikTok star was already raining slaps and kicks.
Sonali Phogat contested the Haryana assembly elections on BJP ticket in 2019 from Adampur seat but she lost the elections.
