Tractor rally on Jan 26: SC says police is first authority to decide who should be allowed to enter Delhi

Tractor rally on Jan 26: The Supreme Court on Monday said that entry into Delhi is a law and order issue and the police should determine who should be allowed the entry and on what conditions.

New Delhi: Supreme Court on Monday said the question of entry into Delhi is a law and order situation that is to be determined by Police.

Attorney General KK Venugopal, appearing for Centre, said that tractor rally by farmers will be illegal & there will likely be an entry of 5000 people in Delhi.

Court will also hear the application filed by Delhi Police seeking a direction to put an injunction on the proposed tractor rally on Republic Day. Court had already issued notice on this matter on January 12th.

# We are not going to tell you what you should do. We will take up this matter on Jan 20.
