Netizens declared the incident as the next meme material for days ahead, while many flooded the comment section of RPF with hilarious memes

New Delhi: A recent highjack alert on Twitter by a passenger travelling via Karnataka-Delhi train caused major agitation on the microblogging site on Sunday. Though, the Indian Railways was quick to take notice of the matter and ask the complainant not to panic.

Further, the reason cited by the Railways cracked up Twitteratis who were worried and in dismay of a train being hijacked, with several filling up the comment section with hilarious jokes and memes.

Here’s what happened:

As the Karnataka Sampark Kranti Express took a diversion route between Majri Junction and Sitafal Mandi, an on-board passenger panicked since the train was not on its usual way and through that it has been hijacked.

In fright, the passenger named Krushna Ch Behera took to his Twitter handle to report the supposed hijacking incident and tagged the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Secunderabad, and the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), asking them to help out.

“Dear @IRCTCofficial @drmsecunderabad train no-12650 has been hijacked please help!!!! #train hijacked #Help”, tweeted Behera.

The Indian Railways took no time to save Behera from distress and replied, “Sir, the work is going on between Kazipeta and Ballrasha and hence, the train was diverted his route through Hyderabad division . Don’t Panic”.

Knowing that the train was only diverted due to repair work on its usual routes, Netizens declared the incident as the next meme material for days ahead.

While many flooded the comment section of RPF with hilarious memes, some users even asked the officials to take action against Behera for spreading false information.
