Tripura CM Biplab Deb does Yoga with family, urges everyone to pursue it for healthy life

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb performed Yoga along with wife Niti Deb and two children at his official residence in Agartala. The Chief Minister also took to Twitter to share his pictures of ‘Yoga at Home, Yoga with family’.

New Delhi: Amid the Coronavirus pandemic, the countrymen celebrated the 6th International Yoga day by practicing and performing Yoga asanas at home. On the occasion, PM Modi addressed the nation and underlined the importance of Yoga, meditation and pranayam.

In the North-East, all 8 states observed the occasion with great enthusiasm and zeal. Chief Ministers and Governors of NE states along with prominent personalities performed Yoga at their residences.

Tripura CM urges all to include Yoga in daily routine

Biplab Deb, a Yoga enthusiast, performed various asanas to mark the occasion and even exhorted fellow citizens to make this a party of daily routine for healthy & stress-free life.

“I urge everyone to practice Yoga and make it a daily habit for a healthy and stress-free life,” Deb tweeted.

Yoga Day goes digital

International Yoga Day coincides with the Summer Solstice each year but the marked difference this year was lack of mass gathering due to pandemic. This year, the Yoga Day went digital.

Since pandemic has restricted assembling of people, this year’s theme was ‘Yoga at Home, Yoga with family’. From lawmakers to leaders to common people, everyone did yoga at their homes and shared pics via social media.
