New Delhi: Indian ace shutter PV Sindhu won bronze medal at Tokyo Olympics by defeating China’s He Bingjiao in the the Tokyo Olympics. This is her second individual Olympic medal. With this feat, Sindhu has become second Indian athlete to win 2 individual Olympic medal after wrestler Sushil Kumar.
Automobile giant Anand Mahindra took to Twitter to congratulate Sindhu for her historic win, when he was asked by a Twitter user to gift her a Mahindra Thar SUV. Mahindra had gifted Thar to Indian Cricketers Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur and others, earlier this year.
Anand Mahindra wrote congratulating message to Sindhu on Sunday, “If there were an Olympics for mental strength, she would be on the top of the podium. Think about how much more resilience & commitment it requires to rise above a demoralising defeat & give it your all… You’re still our Golden Girl”.

To this, a twitter user by the name Mr. Wadewale, tagged Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra and PV Sindhu in his tweet and wrote, “She deserves Thar for her performance. #TharforPVsindhu”.

Anand Mahindra took to Twitter to respond to the user saying that she already has one Mahindra Thar parked in her garage.
The 61-year-old businessman also shared a picture from 2016 in which PV Sindhu and Sakshi Malik can be seen riding a red Mahindra Thar. “She already has one in her garage,” Anand Mahindra responded to the tweet.
