PM Modi chairs meeting to review India’s security preparedness amid Russia-Ukraine conflict

Ever since Russia invaded Ukraine, PM Modi has held several high-level meetings with union ministers and senior officials.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday (March 13) chaired a meeting to review India’s security preparedness, a prevailing global scenario in context of the Ukraine conflict.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar attended the meeting.

The Prime Minister was briefed on latest developments and different aspects of India’s security preparedness in the border areas as well as in the maritime and air domain.

The Foreign Secretary of India, Harsh Vardhan Shringla was also present in the meeting along with other dignitaries.

The Prime Minister was also briefed on the latest developments in Ukraine, including the details of Operation Ganga to evacuate Indian nationals, along with some citizens of India’s neighbouring countries, from Ukraine.

Prime Minister Modi directed that all possible efforts should be made to bring back the mortal remains of Naveen Shekharappa, who died in Kharkiv.
