Uncle Shivpal blasts Akhilesh again, says his political immaturity behind SP’s decline in UP

“If (Akhilesh Yadav) took my suggestions seriously, the condition of the SP in the state would be completely different,” Shivpal Yadav said.

New Delhi: They came together for taking on BJP bandwagon but after drubbing in UP Assembly polls, their differences & dispute have on the rise. Amid fresh talks of key Samajwadi Party (SP) ally getting cosy with the saffron party, Mulayam’s brother Shivpal Yadav again lashed out at Akhilesh Yadav and blamed him for party’s deterioration & decline in the state.

He termed the SP chief as ‘politically immature’ and hinted that he may sever ties with him for the second time.

Shivpal had launched his own party – Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party in 2018, after the family spat plunged the party into crisis and the Yadav clan also got divided. Shivpal & Akhilesh joined hands ahead of 2022 polls, the former contested on SP ticket & also won the elections. But, Akhilesh snubbed him by not inviting him to a meeting for review of election results.

Shivpal said that SP is becoming weak and several leaders are quitting the party.

Shivpal Yadav - Yogi

“I am not invited to party meetings. I was not even invited to the meeting with opposition Presidential candidate Yashwant Sinha,” Shivpal told ANI.

‘Had Akhilesh listened to me, SP would have been different’

“If (Akhilesh Yadav) took my suggestions seriously, the condition of the SP in the state would be completely different,” he said.

The probable severance of ties is anticipated from Shivpal Yadav & OP Rajbhar (Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party chief) extending support to NDA presidential candidate Droupadi Murmu. Report suggest that Rajbhar is also upset with SP chief and may quit party anytime.

“SP didn’t call me for my vote. CM Yogi invited me yesterday where I met NDA’s Presidential candidate Droupadi Murmu and decided to vote for her,” Shivpal said.
