New Delhi: When poll agencies are debating the outcome of UP Assembly elections, Axis My India has projected a clear and decisive mandate for the Yogi Adityanath-led BJP government in the state.

Putting speculations to rest, the agency in its exit poll has projected the BJP to return to power with a bang. According to India Today-Axis My India Exit poll, the BJP is likely to fetch anywhere between 288-326 seats in the 403 member Assembly.

Axis My India is the second agency to predict more than 300 seats for Yogi govt in the state. Matrize News Communications has also projected the party to win more than 250 seats and if party manages to gain 47% vote share, it will do a repeat of the 2017 victory.

It may be noted that Axis My India has been most reliable pollster in last few years. Though, data & numbers are subject to scrutiny, its findings have been most accurate as compared to other agencies.

Samajwadi Party & its allies are projected to win 71-101 seats while BSP is seen getting around 3-9 seats. Congress is seen getting 1-3 seats while others will have to settle with just 2-3 seats, says the exit poll agency.

In the 2017 elections, the BJP won a thumping majority and grabbed three-fourth quarters majority of 325 seats. BJP had won 312 seats while its allies including Apna Dal and SBSP won 9 and 4 seats respectively.

SP suffered a humiliating defeat and was reduced to below 50 mark while Congress & BSP had to console themselves with 7 and 18 seats respectively.
