New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday announced weekend lockdown across the state contain the rising number of Covid-19 cases in the state. The weekend lockdown will come into force from April 24.
As per new directive, night curfew will remain in force in all districts, effective between 8 PM to 7 AM every day.
Briefing mediapersons, Awanish K Awasthi, Additional Chief Secy, Home Dept said, “Weekend lockdown to be imposed in UP on Saturdays & Sundays. Lockdown will come into effect on Friday 8 pm & continue till Monday 7 am. Only essential services will be allowed. Night curfew will remain imposed in all districts.”
