UP has become favourite destination of investors around the world: Kumar Mangalam Birla
Kumar Mangalam Birla also highlighted that his group has invested Rs 40,000 crores in Uttar Pradesh.
Lucknow: Talking about the old relationship between Uttar Pradesh and his organisation, Birla Group Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla said that after independence, his Group set up an aluminium factory in the name of Hindalco in the state, which was just the beginning of Birla Group becoming the world’s largest company in its field.
Addressing the Ground Breaking Ceremony 3.0 in Lucknow on Friday, Birla said, “The relationship between Uttar Pradesh and the Birla Group is very old. We started our journey from this state back in 1956. Since then, Birla Group has grown its business multiple folds in different countries.”
The Birla Group is also a well-known name in the cement and chemical sector. By adopting many villages under Corporate Social Responsibility, the group is working for their all-around development. The Group also has 11 educational institutions that provide quality education to students.
“Due to the visionary government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and transparent policies, the trust in India has increased among investors all over the world. This is the reason that today India has become the favourite destination of investors across the world,” Kumar Mangalam Birla further said.
Due to the dynamic personality of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, unprecedented changes have taken place in multiple fields, including the economic field. “Coming from number 14 to number two in the Ease of Doing Business is proof of his excellence in running the government. The investment portal of the state government has proved to be very useful for investors. Works like Purvanchal Expressway and Rapid Rail are symbols of the ongoing transformation in the state,” said the industrialist, adding “Uttar Pradesh will be the leader of the country’s economic development in the coming years and there will be active participation of the Birla Group in its growth.”
Kumar Mangalam Birla also highlighted that his group has invested Rs 40,000 crores in Uttar Pradesh. He assured that he would directly or indirectly provide employment to 35,000 youth in 50 villages through his projects.
Praising PM Modi and CM Yogi for their zeal and passion for the economic development of the country and the state, Birla read a distich – “Jab Haunsla Bana Liya Hai Unchi Udaan ka, To Dekhna Fizul Hai Kad Aasmaan Ka“ (When you have gathered the courage to fly, then it is useless to see the height of the sky).
