New Delhi: The first list of 125 candidates for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly elections was announced by the Congress party on Thursday. About 50 women candidates have been nominated on the list, including Tamil actress and Miss Bikini India 2018, Archana Gautam.
Gautam got a ticket to contest from Hastinapur seat, in the Meerut district, just within 2 months of joining the party. Model-actress had joined the Congress party in November 2021.
Born in Meerut (UP), Archana made her Bollywood debut from adult comedy Great Grand Masti, and has also appeared in several other Hindi, Tamil and Telugu movies.
As actor Archana Gautam, also known as ‘Sunny Leone of the South’ has been given a ticket from the Congress to contest in the upcoming UP assembly polls, Netizens flooded the internet with their mixed reactions.
