UP Polls: ‘Yogi’s 80 vs 20 per cent comment is violation of MCC,’ says Congress leader Digvijaya Singh

New Delhi: A day after Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s ’80 per cent, 20 per cent’ speech, Congress leader Digvijaya Singh on Monday alleged that it was a violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC).

Digvijay Singh reacted to a tweet by former Home Secretary Sanjeev Gupta, who was reacting to UP CM Adityanath’s comment aired by a TV channel that “UP elections will be about ’80 percent vs 20 percent’”

He pointed out that how Yogi Adityanth’s comment was a violation of the very first point mentioned in the MCC by Election Commission.

Digvijay Singh reacted to the Tweet and wrote, “Wake up and show some Spine Hon Chairman and Members of Central Election Commission. Just watch what Yogi and their Ad campaign are projecting.” (He Tweeted in Hindi).
