UP Survey: Yogi govt set to return to power, SP seen improving tally; Cong decline to continue

According to ABP News-CVoter Survey, Yogi Adityanath-led BJP remains the favourite choice among the voters while the Samajwadi Party under leadership of Akhilesh Yadav is seen gaining some ground while Mayawati and Congress continue to remain on decline.

New Delhi: For the Assembly Elections in early 2022, Uttar Pradesh is already in poll mode with parties making strong pitch to woo their vote base. The 403-member Assembly is set to go to polls early next year.

According to ABP News-CVoter Survey, Yogi Adityanath-led BJP remains the favourite choice among the voters while the Samajwadi Party under leadership of Akhilesh Yadav is seen gaining some ground while Mayawati and Congress continue to remain on decline.

The findings are from poll survey conducted by ABP News along with CVoter in November 1st week, to understand sentiment of voters in the poll-bound state.

Likely Vote % for parties in Uttar Pradesh

2017 elections was almost a walk over for BJP as it wrested over 41% votes while the then SP govt managed to get just 23.6% votes while BSP was restricted at 22.2%.

For the 2022 elections, BJP is not seen losing much ground as survey predicts BJP gaining support of over 40% electorate.

Akhilesh-led SP is seen emerging as strong contender but falling much short. BSP’s vote share is likely to add up to SP’s vote base. Under Priyanka Gandhi’s leadership, Congress is seen taking only baby steps towards revival as the party is likely to get 2.6% more votes than compared to 2017 elections.

Which party will win how many seats?

According to ABP News-CVoter Survey, BJP may bags seats in the range of 213-221 while Akhilesh Yadav’s SP may walk away with anything between 152 and 160.
