Uttarakhand: A chance to explore PM’s ‘Man Vs Wild’ trail in Jim Corbett, govt plans ‘Modi Circuit’ for tourists

PM Modi had Featured in a special episode of Man Vs Wild that aired in August 2019, with popular adventurer Bear Grylls in Corbett

New Delhi: The state government of Uttarakhand is planning to provide tourists with an opportunity to explore the ‘Modi Circuit’, which will cover the route and places visited by PM Modi in Jim Corbett National Park with British adventurer Bear Grylls.

News daily Indian Express quoted a senior official saying that they have begun identifying the places and are figuring out arrangements for tourists to visit and stay at the several places visited by PM Modi during the shooting of the special episode shot inside Jim Corbett National Park in 2019.

“The idea for a ‘Modi Circuit’ came up when I heard of a tour named ‘Game of Thrones’ while on a visit to Croatia, wherein tourists gets to explore the various locations where the popular TV series was shot”, told Uttarakhand Minister of Tourism Satpal Maharaj.

“We have already created several circuits, for Maa Bhagwati, Shiva, Vishnu, Nav-grah, Golju Maharaj, Nagdevta, Hanuman, and Vivekanand. There is another major idea we are working on. PM Modi went to Jim Corbett Park with Bear Grylls. We are making a Modi trail for that. We will take tourists to places visited by PM Modi”, he added.

When Modi appeared in Man Vs Wild

Featuring in a special episode of Man Vs Wild that aired in August 2019, PM Modi met the host and popular adventurer Bear Grylls in Corbett and joined him for an adventure. The duo walked at the banks of Kosi River and went on to cross it amid pouring rain in a makeshift raft.

Modi further consumed a drink made by Grylls out of neem leaves.

Post the shooting of this special episode, Modi had shared his experience and had expressed his desire of turning the exotic national park into an international tourist attraction in coming years.
