New Delhi: Uttarakhand has achieved a major milestone in the propagation & penetration of Ayushman Bharat Scheme to remote locations of the state & also to poor & unprivileged population.
More than 50 lakh Ayushman Bharat cards have been issued by the state govt till date and in near future, it is aiming for 100% coverage, under the flagship scheme of Modi government.
In few major achievements, the state government has already treated more than 6.67 lakh patients under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme while spending a whopping sum of Rs 12 billion for treatment.
Pradhan Mantri-Jan Arogya Yojana kickstarted in Uttarakhand on 23rd September 2018.
The BJP government invested heavily & paid lot of attention in spreading awareness among the citizens about the flagship scheme. At regular intervals, campaigns & awareness programs were run to impress upon people about its various benefits. It’s on back of state govt’s multi-pronged strategy & strong focus that more than 50 lakh Ayushman cards have been issued till date.
Dehradun ranks at top among the Ayushman Bharat card holders. The capital city alone has more than 10 lakh cards. Arunendra Singh Chauhan, chief administration officer of the state health department said that the govt has stepped up its focus on areas with low coverage.
