New Delhi: In a shocking incident from Bhopal’s Pipani, a woman sought divorce from her husband after he took her on a honeymoon in Ayodhya & Varanasi instead of Goa.

As per the reports, the bizarre divorce case came to light on January 19 after the woman knocked on the doors of the Bhopal family court within 10 days of returning from the forgettable Ayodhya trip.

Seeking divorce from her husband, the woman, presented her petition to the court in which she claimed that her husband works in the IT sector where he makes a good amount of money.

The lady stated that just like her husband, she also earns well, and going to enjoy a honeymoon overseas was a cakewalk for the couple. However, despite being in such a strong financial position, her husband denied to go abroad with her and instead suggested that they should enjoy vacations somewhere in India. Eventually, the duo decided to fly to Goa or southern India to enjoy their honeymoon.

However, instead of taking his wife to Goa, the husband secretly booked air tickets for Varanasi & Ayodhya and only informed his wife about the same just a day before their Flight’s departure. Citing the reason for ditching Goa and heading for Ayodhya instead, the guy told his wife that he did so as his mother wished to be there in the city ahead of the Mandir’s recently concluded Pran Pratishtha ceremony.

Although the woman initially didn’t protest against her husband’s decision and quietly went with him & his family to the pilgrimage sites, she displayed her anger soon after the couple returned from the trip & even filled out a divorce petition in the family court. In the same petition, she also accused her husband of ignoring her and staying focused on taking care of his mother instead.

Husband denies woman’s claims

Meanwhile, the husband has rebutted the woman’s claims, saying that his wife is creating unnecessary issues and making a fuss out of nothing. The court has now referred the duo’s case to a counselor who will be trying to mediate between both parties.
