VIRAL video: Dutch YouTuber harassed & manhandled at Bengaluru’s ‘Chor Bazar’

The Dutch traveler was taken aback by sudden ‘attack’ on him but somehow managed to escape from the spot minutes later.

New Delhi: A Dutch traveler & YouTuber was harassed & manhandled on Bengaluru streets on Sunday, while he was recording his vlog.

The incident happened at city’s ‘Cho Bazar’ market in Chickpet area, where the YouTuber named Pedro Mota was moving through the bylanes of city and recording a selfie video about his experience. He was first bullied and grabbed by his hand by a local trader. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media platforms.

In the viral video, the YouTuber can be seen smiling & speaking about his experience when suddenly he is objected by a bully, allegedly a local trader. He grabs the YouTuber by hand and also tries to snatch his camera. The Dutch travelled resisted his attempts but was overpowered by the latter.


In the viral video, the Dutch YouTuber can be heard saying, “Namaste, sir…”, while the trader grabbed his hand & started shouting, “Ye kya hai…?”

“Please let me go sir,” the YouTuber says in reply.

The Dutch traveler was taken aback by sudden ‘attack’ on him but somehow managed to escape from the spot minutes later. He later filed a complaint with city police and claimed that the attacker wanted to break his finger.

The shocking incident reportedly happened a couple of days ago but this came to light after Vlogger posted the video on YouTube on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Bengaluru cops nabbed the alleged assaulter and lodged a case against him. He has been identified as Navab Hayath Sharif and booked under Section 92 of the Karnataka Police Act.

In December last year, another such harassment of a foreign tourist grabbed headlines after she was abused & harassed on Mumbai streets. While the South Korean YouTuber was shooting for vlog, she was physically harassed by two local men, the video of which had gone viral then.
