WATCH: 1st ‘Oxygen Express’ in Andhra to be filled with O2; will carry oxygen to Covid-hit Maharashtra

New Delhi: The first ‘Oxygen Express’ on Thursday arrived in Visakhapatnam city of Andhra Pradesh. The cryogenic tankers, with a carrying capacity of more than 100 tons of LMO (Liquid Medical Oxygen) will be loaded with LMO at Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (RINL) – Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.

It will then ply to Maharashtra, the state facing acute Covid crisis. The state has been reporting over 60,000-65,000 fresh Corona cases for over a week now. It also has the highest mortality rate, when compared to other states.
