New Delhi: Several activists of Hindu Sena on Saturday stuck a sticker saying “Ayodhya Marg” on the signboard of Babar Road in Delhi.

Following that, the National President of Hindu Sena Vishnu Gupta told ANI that his organization has requested the government to change the name of Babar Raod numerous times. He revealed that although the organization has written several letters to NDMC & Home Ministry about the same, neither of them has taken any action regarding the matter so far.

“When Babari Mosque is no longer in Ayodhya after the Supreme Court’s judgment, then what is the Purpose of Babar Road in Delhi?” Vishnu asked.

Citing the reason behind putting ‘Ayodhya Marg’ sticker on Babar Road’s signboard, Gupta said that Babar Road makes him feel like we are still living in the Mughal emperor’s era and that’s exactly why the organization tried the change the road’s name.

However, Delhi police later pulled down Hindu Sena’s Ayodhya marg sticker from the signboard which now reads ‘Babar Road’ once again.

Meanwhile, with Ayodhya’s monumental Pran Pratishtha Ceremony of Ram Lalla & 75th Republic Day Republic Day knocking at the doors, the National Capital’s security has been tightened up by the authorities who are leaving no stone unturned in ensuring the safety of the citizens.

While the Ram Temple consecration ceremonies will begin in Ayodhya on 22 January, the Republic Day parade, circling the themes of Viksit Bharat and Bharat Loktantra Ki Maturka will be held on Kartavya Path on January 26, 2024.
