
Kerala: Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off Kerala’s first Vande Bharat Express train from Thiruvananthapuram Central railway station today.
During the event, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Governor Arif Mohammed Khan, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor and several others were present on the ocassion.

Kerala’s first Vande Bharat Express train will cover about 11 districts including Kollam, Malappuram, Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kottayam, Kozhikode, Palakkad, Kannur, Pathanamthitta and Kasargod.
PM Modi who is in Kerala today will also be inaugrating various projects and will lay foundation stone worth more than Rs 3,200 crore.
PM is also scheduled to inaugrate India’s first Water Metro in Kochi which will connects 10 islands around Kochi through battery-operated electric hybrid boats for seamless connectivity with the city.
PM Modi will also dedicate rail electrification of the Dindigul-Palani-Palakkad section.
He will also lay the foundation stone of the Thiruvananthapura’s Digital Science Park.
