Notably, the Bangus Valley is known for its highlands and diverse range of flora and fauna. It is as beautiful as Gulmarg and Pahalgam, however, it is less spoiled and more serene. The valley gets its name from the Sanskrit words “Ban” meaning Forest and “Gus” meaning grass.
