New Delhi: In Delhi’s posh Hauz Khaz village, some North-Eastern women were harassed by a group of men who reportedly asked their ‘rate’. The purported video of the incident is being widely shared on social media, igniting strong public reaction.
The incident reportedly happened a couple of days ago on July 18. A group of women were at the village for a party when a group of men approached and asked about their ‘rate for night’.
Infuriated at indecent advances, the North-Eastern women confronted the men and recorded the incident on camera. Sensing trouble, the men started apologizing and fleeing from the scene but their pervert act was already captured on camera.
A 10-minute video of the incident has been shared by an Instagram user account named Huckleberry Hangers.

In another video, the women could be seen angrily questioning a few men over them asking for “rates”, while men are seen making gestures of apology and trying to escape the scene.

Further on in the video, two women – identifying themselves as Astha and Neha – recount the incidents from the weekend that made them “question a lot of things” and that they were “disgusted.”
Meanwhile, Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) has taken note of the incident and dashed off notice to Delhi Police, demanding the arrest of tormentors roaming freely on the streets.
