New Delhi:Baba Ka Dhaba owner Kanta Prasad became an overnight sensation after YouTuber Gaurav Wasan posted a video of their misery and penury due to Coronavirus-induced lockdown in 2020. Following this, people flocked in hordes at his roadside eatery and brought smiles on faces of old couple.

Not just they got business, their financial woes vanished in just a few days and with people’s funding, they moved into a plush restaurant in a residential society. However, sometime later, Baba accused Wasan of misappropriating the his funds by carrying out transactions in the latter’s bank account.
As the couple returned to their eatery days back, they are once again staring at similar situation.
Baba issued a video, apologizing to the YouTuber but this act didn’t cut any ice with the netizens, many of whom personally visited the dhaba to lift the old couple out of penury.

In the video, ‘Baba Ka Dhaba’ owner could be heard saying, “Gaurav Wasan, vo ladka koi chor nhi tha, aur na he humney ussey kabhi chor kaha hai. Bas humarey se ek chook hui hai ki jo humney kahan ki Guarav Wasan ko humney bulaya, nhi, Gaurav apney aap aae they. Aur hum isliye shama maangtey hai aur janta se kehtey hai ki koi galati ho toh humey maaf karna.”
How netizens rejected Baba’s apology
As the video clip landed on internet, it got a lot of reactions from netizens. Some said it is Karma that has hit them hard, others said people should forgive the elderly couple.
