The Health Card enables you to avail all the medical facilities without any delay or hitch. However, the companies offering Health Insurance levy heavy taxes which makes it difficult for everyone to buy these Health Plans.

 

The Ayushman Bharat Card introduced by the Prime Minister of India offers easy Medical access to people living in the lower income group who are unable to afford the expensive bills of the hospitals during emergency. let’s take a look at who all are eligible for a Ayushman Bharat Card:

 

People who come under the Scheduled caste and Scheduled Tribes

Families with no male member

People who are living in slums or roads

Families with one Physically challenged member

People who are daily wage labourers

Families living in makeshift houses

Manual Scavenger families

Here’s a list of people who are not eligible to enroll for the Ayushman Bharat Card

People who own a house, two wheeler or any property

People having a Kisan Card with a limit of 50000

People who have Government Jobs

People who have a monthly income of more than 10000

People who own Refrigerator and a landline phone

People who own a property of 5 acre or more

 

What are the expenses covered under the Ayushman Bharat Card

Intensive and Non-Intensive Services

Laboratory Tests

Accomodation and Food Services

 

The Ayushman Bharat Card was introduced on 23rd September 2018, by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. The main purpose of this scheme is to provide door to door health Services to the economically weaker sections and the poor.
