
Two cases of COVID-19 reported in India- from Delhi and Telangana
New Delhi: The World Health Organization (WHO) said there are over 90,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 3,056 deaths reported globally in 67 countries. The Novel Corona virus death toll in China climbed to 2,943 with 31 more deaths. 125 new confirmed cases were reported, the lowest since the virus outbreak in the country. Chinese health officials said today even as the total number of deaths crossing 3,000 globally and infections surging past 89,000.

After infecting over tens of thousands and killing more than 3,000 in over 60 countries, the coronavirus epidemic is knocking on Indian doors. This week, 3 cases have been reported, taking the total number of confirmed infections to 6.
How to contain coronavirus epidemic
WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus tweeted that understanding the epidemic is the first step to defeating it. He said it has never been seen in past that a respiratory pathogen is capable of community transmission. He said, the infection spreads from person to person mainly through the droplets produced when an infected person speaks, coughs or sneezes. WHO has been advising countries to take actions on the first case, first cluster, first evidence of community transmission.
As more cases of coronavirus are being detected in India and fear spreads across states, PM Narendra Modi has said there is no need to panic and all states and Centre are working together to contain the spread.
In a series of tweets, PM Modi said on Tuesday morning, “There is no need to panic. We need to work together, take small yet important measures to ensure self-protection.”
Yoga guru Baba Ramdev said, on the outbreak of Coronavirus, that it is important that we don’t panic. He further added that viral fever and flu spreads during change of weather and we need to work on our immunity. He also suggested some pranayams.
