New Delhi: A video of Instagram influencer Bobby Kataria went viral today on social media today, in which he could be seen slouching inside the plane and lighting a cigarette. The video sparked a furore on social media as users took objection to him puffing his cigarette inside the plane.
A couple of them also tagged the video the Union Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia who also responded, “Investigating it. There will be no tolerance towards such hazardous behavior.”
Later it came to be known that video is old.
The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security told media that the now-viral video was old and due action was taken against Bobby at that time.
Who is Bobby Kataria?
Bobby Kataria is a resident of Haryana’s Gurgaon and an Instagram influencer. He commands a strong following of about 6.30 users on the video-sharing platform. As appears from his physique, he is a bodybuilder and is often seen flaunting his muscles on camera. He has also chosen to raise social issues via his social media accounts.
However, he remains the controversy child. Many times, he has been embroiled in controversy. In 2017, he created ruckus inside Gurugram police station in connection with double murder in his village, following which cops registered cases against him. He was also arrested later. He also has police case lodged against him in Delhi.
When smoked inside SpiceJet plane landed him in soup
The social media influencer got himself in the eye of storm when his video of smoking inside plane went viral and left thousands of flyers aghast & shocked. He reportedly shot this video while travelling from Dubai to New Delhi on aSpiceJet flight on January 23, 2022.
In the video, he could be seen laying down at the tail section of the flight and smoking a cigarette.

The video created flutter on social media in no time. After it was flagged by netizens, the video was deactivated on his FB/Insta page. Action was also taken against him.
Why Kataria blocked Dehradun road & what action followed?
Recently, Kataria uploaded another video on his account, where he could be seen blocking a busy Dehradun road and consuming liquor. As the video circulated & created anger in the hills, Uttarakhand DGP Ashok Kumar informed that an enquiry was ordered against him.

In the video, he could be seen sitting in the middle of road and consuming alcohol. The video has background music saying, “Roads apne baap ki.”
The video was reportedly shot & uploaded on his verified account on July 28.
