New Delhi: As part of his eleven-day ‘anusthaan’ (special rituals) for the Pran Pratistha ceremony slated for January 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is strictly following ‘Yam Niyam’, as suggested in the scriptures. Starting off his day with elaborate worship for Lord Ram, PM Modi has been sharing Ram Bhajans by acclaimed & new singers alike and also the bhajans in regional languages.

Today, PM Modi shared a devotional song on Lord Ram, by Suresh Wadekar and Aarya Ambekar and stated that the whole country is drenched in ‘Ram Bhakti’ ahead of the grand ceremony.

Ustad Kries Ramkhelawan is a noted devotional song composer, whose Hindi renditions have impressed many not just in USA but also in India.

Mr Ramkhelawan is a resident of a small country named Suriname, situated in South America. In his decades long career, the 58 year old singer has crooned many classical and devotional songs and enthralled the music lovers with his melodious voice.

Though, his songs do have a regional touch, they do find resonance among public. Over the years, he has developed a fan base who remain in awe of his numerous bhajans & devotional songs.

How US-based singer is ‘propagating’ Indian music?

Ustad Kries Ramkhelawan also runs a music academy of his own, where he trains children in composing music & playing an array of musical instruments. He founded the school in 2022, named – Saathi Foundation & Music school.

The acclaimed singer has been singing bhajans & devotional sings since 1970 and making due contribution in ‘propagating’ the Indian music.
