New Delhi: Riya Kumari, who was also known as Isha Alya, a Jharkhand-based actor & Youtuber, was shot dead by snatchers in the Howrah district on Wednesday.
She was shot when she was travelling from Jharkhand to Kolkata with her husband Prakash Kumar and their 2-year-old daughter.
SP, Howrah Rural, Swati Bhangalia said CCTV footage was recovered and is currently being examined.
He further said Riya’s husband was arrested in an incident.
According to reports, Prakash suspected that Riya was having an affair and used to take money from her.

After the incident, Riya Kumari’s family filed a complaint against Prakash, his ex-wife, and his two brothers for harassing and threatening her.
What Riya’s husband Prakash Kumar said:

When she protested, she was shot dead. Following the incident, Prakash had gone to the police station to report the incident.
By profession, Prakash Kumar is a film director and has so far made several short films and ad films. He also owns a mining business.
Police sources said Prakash’s statement was conflicting and it was after a Prima facie investigation that led to his arrest.
